VERY IMPORTANT FOR TRAVEL TO HAWAII
To enter Hawaii, all travelers age 5 and over must:
1) have been fully vaccinated on the US Mainland (15 days or more after completion of your vaccination)
2) or obtain a pre-travel negative COVID test from a Hawaiian trusted traveler partner.
Documents must be uploaded to the Hawaii safe travels website at https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/ before you travel. You can start this at any time however the required health questionnaire will only be available inside the 24 hour period prior to your arrival.
For those fully vaccinated. You must upload to HI Safe Travel website proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to travel and take your proof of vaccination documents with you. Your CDC card is currently an accepted means of proof. Other accepted documents can be found on the official HI government websites.
For those NOT fully vaccinated including those that are less than 15 days after their final vaccination dose and those between the ages of 5-11 who may not yet be eligible for vaccination you must take and obtain a negative COVID test. The test must be administered no more than 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the final flight leg to Hawaii. There is a safe travels hawaii airline calculator here that can help you calculate when your test should be scheduled after. The test must be administered by one of the Hawaii trusted testing partners and results must be in hand and uploaded to the Safe Travel website prior to your departure. This is a mandatory Hawaii requirement to bypass the quarantine and get a multi-use entry wrist band to the unit. The test must be taken by all travelers 5 years of age and older. As it is time sensitive, if available in your area, I recommend choosing a testing partner that offers the rapid test with same day or 24/36 hour results turn around. It’s important that you get on the schedule or order your testing kit right away. Once you receive your test results, upload them to HI Safe Travel website, and also print them out and take them with you.
