LATEST UPDATES:
As of March 26, 2022 Hawaii will end their safe travels program for domestic travelers. For domestic travelers, there will no longer be a quarantine and vaccination and a negative COVID test will no longer be required to enter. All domestic travelers are welcome to visit the island. International rules still apply, if you are traveling internationally, please consult their latest rules and make sure you meet the requirements prior to booking and arriving on island.

Currently (before March 26th) To bypass the mandatory Hawaii Quarantine you must either (applicable for anyone age 5 and over):

1) Provide proof of being fully vaccinated (per HI state rules).
2) Obtain a negative COVID test.

Its now been over a year since Hawaii re-opened to allow visitors to arrive without a mandatory quarantine that cannot be bypassed. Travel to Hawaii has picked up and many visitors have enjoyed beautiful Hawaii.

Travelers to Hawaii do not need to quarantine if they are either fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID test taken 72 hours prior to arrival from a Hawaii Trusted Testing Partner. Children under age 5 are not required to take the test.

When to take the test: The COVID-19 test will need to be taken no more than 72 hours before your flight departure time to the islands. For help in planning, here is a Safe Travel Hawaii Airline Calculator, an online tool that helps travelers plan their schedule for Covid-19 testing prior to travel so they comply with the Aloha State’s requirements. Trip Advice: Pre-plan and take your test as early as you can (but inside their 72 hour window). Make sure you are guaranteed your results before you depart to Maui. You are required to have the negative COVID test result uploaded to their safe travels website before departing on your final leg of your trip into Hawaii. Failure to upload your test result will result in a quarantine.
